Job summary

AMR seeks a Part-Time Paramedic in Bozeman, MT to provide advanced medical care on overnight shifts. You will drive the ambulance, lead on-scene management, and collaborate with public safety personnel to ensure efficient patient care and timely transports.

Minimum qualifications include Montana Paramedic Certification, National Registry, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; some advanced education preferred.
  • Montana Paramedic Certification or application pending.
  • Current National Registry.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS.
  • Able to pass drug & background screening.
  • Ability to pass a physical agility test (PAT).

Responsibilities

  • Assess each call and determine best action per Paramedic protocols.
  • Use Paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids.
  • Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
  • Lead scenes and manage units as needed.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
  • Develop and apply triage skills for efficiency.
  • Provide patient care according to protocols and safety requirements.
  • Lift and move patients as required.
  • Coordinate with receiving facility for medical direction and critical information.
  • Drive ambulance and provide map-reading support to minimize response time.
  • Communicate with dispatcher for call data and feedback.
