Job summary

AMR Bozeman is seeking a Part-Time Paramedic to deliver high-quality patient care on overnight shifts in Bozeman, MT. You will assess calls, apply paramedic procedures, and lead on-scene operations.

You must be Montana certified and National Registry, have a valid driver’s license, and pass background checks. AMR offers community-focused care and opportunities to advance within a national EMS network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
• Montana Paramedic Certification current or pending.
• National Registry certification current.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action using Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills with equipment to provide advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead on scene and manage the unit as needed.
• Coordinate with allied health and public safety personnel; support fellow Paramedics.
• Develop and utilize triage skills for efficient response.
• Provide patient care per protocols and safety requirements.
• Lift/move patients as required for optimal care.
• Communicate with receiving facility for direction and information.
• Drive ambulance and assist with map reading to minimize response time.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for call data and feedback.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
• Meet with customers/staff to ensure AMR meets needs; report interactions.

Overnight Shifts Required

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a paramedic, your mission is to provide compassionate, top-notch patient care with a blend of both basic and advanced medical services. Our aim is to deliver these services in a professional, caring, and cost-effective manner that demonstrates our commitment to excellence and our community.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patient s and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given and to show compassion.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as you r fellow Paramedics .
• Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls.
• Provide patient care according to clinical protocols and safety requirements.
• Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care.
• Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and to provide critical information.
• Drive the ambulance and provide map reading support to minimize call response time.
• Communicate with dispatcher to receive and understand call data and customer feedback.

Other Responsibilities

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
• Meets and communicates with existing customers/staff members (including skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospital facilities) on a regular basis to ensure that AMR is meeting their needs. Reports these interactions to the operations and/or account manager on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Some advanced education preferred.
• Current state of Montana Paramedic Certification or application pending
• Current National Registry
• Possess a valid State Driver’s License.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS
• Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy.
• Ability to pass drug & background screening
• Ability to pass a physical agility test (PAT)
