Pace-Center-For-Girl is seeking a part-time Outreach and Community Engagement Specialist in Immokalee, FL. The role focuses on developing and executing administrative, programmatic, and community tasks to raise awareness and engagement through outreach, print, broadcast, and digital channels.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years’ experience or an Associates and four years’ experience.
• Excellent oral and written communications; strong time management and proofreading.
• Experience and aptitude using internet and social media to support development/marketing.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Facebook, Constant Contact or similar.

Responsibilities

• Outreach and community engagement activities include marketing and public relations, events and internet/social media communications.
• Develop marketing campaigns by utilizing and expanding various social media resources.
• Maintains the center’s media list and assists in submitting media releases.
• Assists in preparing newsletters, e-blasts, press releases and calendars for staff and external publication.
• Composes and mails communications to external constituencies on behalf of the local center.
• Manages databases for general and targeted mailings; coordinates volunteers.
• Assists in recruiting, background screening, orientation and assignment of program volunteers.
• Trains volunteers and supervises their work; maintains volunteer records and training docs.
• Plans annual Volunteer Appreciation; supports special program events and center tours.
