Job summary

Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse to join our San Mateo clinic, helping coordinate safe, timely, and compassionate care for patients across the outpatient experience.

The role collaborates with providers and the clinical team to assess patient needs, educate, coordinate care, and support ongoing treatment plans. Educational opportunities and safety tools are provided, with night/weekend differentials for eligible shifts.

Qualifications

• Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• Academic Preparation: Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO)
• Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire
• Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred
• Professional Requirements/Emergency Response: Maintains current training in following:
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required for all
• Additional Requirements based upon area of service
• CDS Outpatient
• Specialty Care Clinics: Oncology Chemotherapy certification
• Urgent Care: ACLS, PALS
• Pediatric Urgent Care: PALS

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
• Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
• Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols.
• Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of patients.

Education

ADN with BSN in progress

Licensed RN NM or Compact

BLS Certification

Specialty Certifications preferred
