bmc is seeking an Outpatient Occupational Therapist to perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence in daily living activities. The role supports patient goals and collaborates with the care team to enable return to home and work with quality documentation.

Reporting to the Rehabilitation Therapies Supervisor/Manager, this part-time position (24 hrs, Days) emphasizes patient education, safe practice, and demonstrated clinical competence

Responsabilités

• Conducts occupational therapy evaluation procedures according to professional and departmental guidelines.
• Responds to all consults within 24 hours; completes evaluation and documentation within 48 hours.
• Reviews records, gathers information, and obtains physician orders prior to assessment.
• Selects evaluation procedures reflecting patient diagnosis, abilities, and limitations.
• Interprets results, develops diagnostic impressions, and makes recommendations.
• Establishes measurable short and long-term goals with patients and/or caregivers.
• Educates patients and caregivers regarding findings and management.
• Assists with discharge planning, follow-up, and community referrals as needed.
• Documents thoroughly and accurately according to department standards.
• Monitors productivity and participates in peer review as required.
