Job summary

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary 13-week assignment in Pen Bay Hospital's Operating Room in Rockport, Maine. This full-time, day-shift role involves perioperative patient care across general, gynecologic, urology, ENT, eye and orthopedic procedures.

The RN collaborates with the surgical team, ensures patient safety, and maintains competency in fetal monitoring and required certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the state; BLS certification required or within 30 days.
• ACLS/PALS within one year for ICU/SCU/ED/PACU; NRP within one year for OB/NICU.
• Annual electronic fetal monitoring competency required for Labor/Delivery RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate, delegate and communicate with the health care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain safety and compliance with department guidelines and hospital policies.

Skills

RN experience

BLS certification

ACLS within 12 months

PALS within 12 months

Fetal Monitoring competency

Education

BSN preferred
