Job summary

US Fertility is seeking an OR/PACU RN for a part-time role at the Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area in San Ramon, California. Schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with one weekend per month and two holidays per year, and compensation of $65 to $70 per hour.

This role supports a nationally respected fertility network and patient-centered care. Responsibilities include preoperative assessments, plan-of-care development, patient and family comfort,

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• 2 to 3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
