Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a patient-focused Part-Time Optometrist to join an affiliated independent practice adjacent to a Warby Parker retail location. You’ll practice under the supervision of the practice's optometrist(s) and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

The role offers a flexible schedule and an emphasis on high-quality clinical care, with ongoing licensure maintenance and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Must be a Doctor of Optometry licensed in the state where you practice.
• Team player with exceptional communication and a passion for delivering remarkable vision care.
• Business-minded and driven to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to incorporate new technology and stay current with clinical practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality comprehensive eye exams and contact lens evaluations in line with established clinical protocols and standards of care.
• Partner with the store team to create an exceptional patient experience while working together to grow the eye exam business at your location.
• Prescribe eyewear, contacts, and eye health solutions tailored to each patient’s needs, and educate them on their options. Diagnose and treat a variety of vision conditions, including refractive error and ocular health assessments, while ensuring accuracy to help patients see (and feel) their best.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient examinations and treatments in compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocols.
• Maintain State Licensure in good standing and meet all Continuing Education/State requirements.
• Serve as a brand ambassador by educating and inspiring patients and team members, reinforcing our leadership in eye care within the community.
• Collaborate closely with the Store Leader to align on goals and strategies to build a strong OD + store team partnership.
• Perform other tasks as needed to provide an exceptional patient experience.
