National Vision's America’s Best is hiring an Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant for a part-time role in our busy store. You will assist the optometrist with pre-screenings, testing, and patient flow while delivering quality eye care and affordable eyewear.

No prior optical certification is required; on-the-job training is provided. The role emphasizes patient care, strong communication, and the ability to work with a friendly team in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care and smooth patient flow.
• Maintain the professional atmosphere of the doctor’s office and pre-test area.
• Explain preliminary examinations and ocular terminology to patients.
• Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing prior to the Doctor’s exam.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screening to eligible patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, consulting with staff when needed.
• Ensure proper maintenance of pre-test and doctor equipment.
