Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is hiring an Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant (Part Time) to support the optometry team. The role involves conducting pre-screenings and testing before the Doctor’s examination, assisting the optometrist, and maintaining a professional front office and pre-test room.

No optical experience or certification is strictly required as training is provided; Sundays off, and a competitive benefits package accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge.
• Explain preliminary examinations clearly.
• Maintain professional appearance and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality patient care and pre-screenings.
• Assist the optometrist and organize the pre-test room.
• Explain types of preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and review patient information accurately.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings as appropriate.
