National Vision seeks an Optometric Technician – Medical Assistant (Part Time) to support patient flow by performing pre-screenings and testing before the Doctor’s examination. No optical experience required; training provided. Availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge.
• Clear and concise instruction for customers.
• Professional attitude and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality patient care and maintain a professional office environment.
• Perform pretest testing and screening prior to the Doctor’s examination.
• Explain preliminary examinations to patients and review prescriptions carefully.
• Complete paperwork and coordinate with the optometrist and staff.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings where appropriate.
• Ensure proper maintenance of doctor’s and pre-test equipment.
