Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in ophthalmic/optometric/medical field preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods, read a computer screen, and lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to pretesting area.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and relay messages.
• Perform pretesting including blood pressure, NCT, color and stereo tests, and autoperimetry.
• Advocate for overall health evaluation (e.g., Optomap).
• Collect and relay health and ocular history to the doctor.
• Conduct contact lens insertion and removal training.
• Order various types of contact lenses.
• Maintain and clean equipment and doctor’s lanes.
• Maintain proper levels of pretest/doctor supplies.
