Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) seeks a bi-lingual Optician / Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across Los Angeles County. This part-time role offers meaningful vision care to seniors and underserved communities in a mission-driven healthcare setting.
You’ll assist the optometrist with intake, screenings, eyewear fittings, portable equipment, and documentation, with no nights or weekends.
Compensation: $25-$27per hour + mileage reimbursement

At CMC, your work has a direct impact. You’ll support optometry care in senior-focused outpatient clinics, helping patients who may have limited access to essential vision services.
This is not a high-volume retail model. We prioritize:

Strong support for providers and clinical teams
There are also opportunities to cross-train in additional specialties such as audiology and podiatry (excluding dental).
Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including bi-lingual communication
Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs
Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment
Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols
Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks
Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability
2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred
Medical Assisting experience is a plus
Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred
Strong understanding of OSHA and infection control standards
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
Able to lift and transport equipment (typically 25-50 lbs)
Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screening
Professional, punctual, and able to work independently
