Job summary

Comprehensive Mobile Care is seeking an Optician / Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across multiple clinics around San Diego, California — one clinic per day. The role offers $27 per hour plus mileage reimbursement and a W2 employment structure.

The candidate will work 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) delivering vision care to underserved communities with a focus on compassionate patient interactions in a mission-driven healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency required.
• Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA and infection control standards.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including Spanish and English speaking patients
• Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs
• Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment
• Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols
• Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks
• Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optician / Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across multiple clinics around San Diego, California — one clinic per day.

What You’ll Do
