Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring an Optician in Training – PART TIME in Indianapolis, IN. You don’t need optical experience to succeed; we’ll teach you everything. This PT, 25-30 hours per week role focuses on learning, helping customers, and growing into a skilled optician.

Travel to support other locations may be required. Daily duties include guiding patients in eyewear selection, educating on lens options, handling insurance and scheduling at the front desk, processing orders, and performing

Qualifications

• No optical experience required; training will be provided.
• Part-time schedule of 25–30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients in selecting eyewear that fits their face and lifestyle.
• Educate patients on lens options and eyewear care.
• Manage front-desk tasks such as insurance verification, scheduling, and benefit authorizations.
• Place and process eyewear orders and troubleshoot.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments for proper fit.
• Build relationships with patients and support further growth milestones.
