Dr. Tavel Optical Group is seeking an Optician in Training in Indianapolis. No prior optical experience is required; we will train you in eyewear selection, lens options, and customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You will join a program that emphasizes learning, coaching, and growth, with two-week mandatory training at our corporate office in Indianapolis. Availability for some Saturdays is expected as part of regular office hours.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients in selecting eyewear for fit and lifestyle.
• Educate on lens options and eyewear care.
• Handle front-desk tasks: insurance verification, scheduling, and benefits.
• Process eyewear orders accurately and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments for proper fit.
• Build lasting patient relationships and encourage return visits.
• Complete required training and certifications to advance.
