Qualifications

• Earned bachelor's degree or higher in Optics (or related field) from a regionally accredited institution OR associate's degree in Optics from a regionally accredited institution with 3+ years of optics experience.
• Evidence of effective communication (interpersonal, speaking, and writing) skills.
• Commitment to supporting an inclusive campus environment.
• Evidence of respect for and understanding of people with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs.
• Evidence of proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and maintains current subject area knowledge.
• Teaches courses and evaluates student performance in Optical Systems Technology.
• Teaches multiple courses/sections each term, as available.
• Develops online Optical Systems Technology courses.
• Prepares lesson plans and instructional materials for student engagement.
• Prepares Course Information Sheet/Syllabus/Outlines per department guidelines.
• Establishes a engaging and supportive classroom environment.
• Maintains attendance records, grades, and other records per guidelines.
