Job summary

Chamberlain University in Illinois is seeking Part-Time Nursing Faculty to teach in the BSN Nursing online program. You will serve as facilitator, role model, coach and advisor, incorporating Chamberlain Care philosophy to educate diverse nursing professionals.

Part-time professors lead asynchronous discussions and live lectures with AM/PM options, and will be available via email, online conferencing or telephone to assist students.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Unencumbered professional nurse licensure in Illinois is required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years teaching experience.
• Excellent communication skills with high level of initiative and prudent judgment.
• Have genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Have exceptional subject matter expertise in the field of instruction with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with an approved Chamberlain syllabus that follows a campus template.
• Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
• Uses online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, email, and online discussions.
• Models effective oral and written communications that engage students and improve learning.
• Sets clear expectations for the course and schedules assessments and weightings.
• Ensures content and exam alignment with course objectives.
• Demonstrates fairness in grading and provides timely feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with policies.
