Job summary

Langan is seeking a Part-Time On-Call Staff Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join its collaborative team in Southern California. The role covers site exploration, contaminated site investigation and remediation, sampling, vapor intrusion work, remediation design, monitoring, pilot tests, and reporting.

You will work with top industry leadership on a diverse portfolio in a continuous learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• 1+ years of work-related experience; internship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and environmental investigations.
• Perform air, soil, gas, groundwater sampling and remediation of contaminated properties.
• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and recording data.
• Field oversight of remediation activities and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Identify and implement solutions to field and laboratory problems and document results; communicate with supervisor.
• Assist with preparation of technical reports, specifications, and plans; data management and evaluation; and environmental assessment and remediation.
• Perform other duties as requested.
