Job summary

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Department of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking two part-time Clinical Instructor positions at 0.1 FTE (one day per week every other week). These roles involve academic and clinical teaching at undergraduate and residency levels, supervision of dental students, and patient care in the OMFS Clinic and Acute Care Clinic.

The hiring range is $13,500–$16,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD or equivalent degree is required.
• Eligibility for licensure to practice dentistry in Maryland is required.
• Possession of or eligibility for a class III anesthesia permit in Maryland is highly desirable.
• Formal residency training in Oral Surgery/OMFS is preferred.
• Exceptional applicants without formal residency but with significant OMFS experience may be considered.
• Experience in undergraduate/postgraduate teaching is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and clinical teaching at undergraduate and residency levels.
• Supervise dental students and provide patient care in the OMFS Clinic and Acute Care Clinic.
