Job summary

The University of Maryland Baltimore School of Dentistry seeks a full-time Clinical Instructor or Assistant Professor to split duties between Emergency Dental Services and the Special Care & Geriatrics Clinic. The role includes supervising dental students and OMS residents in a collaborative interdisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities cover managing dental emergencies, performing dentoalveolar procedures, and providing guided clinical education to residents, with a focus on high-quality patient

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD or equivalent; eligible for licensure in Maryland.
• Experience supervising residents and teaching dental students.
• Experience in outpatient dentoalveolar surgery and dental emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents and dental students in Emergency Dental Services and Special Care & Geriatrics clinics.
• Provide comprehensive emergency dental care, diagnose and manage acute conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate referrals, maintain clinical documentation, participate in quality improvement, and support department and university service activities.
