We specialize in wholesale electricity markets, where extreme volatility is the norm and the marketplace is constantly evolving, presenting new opportunities for growth and insight. We are currently one of the top participants in the power markets and are looking for a Part-Time Office Manager to support our team in our Arlington office.

Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Office Manager who will lead the charge on making our Arlington, VA work environment efficient and delightful. You'll manage our Arlington office operations, with a primary focus on maintaining the kitchen and overall office cleanliness and organization. You'll embody our "team first" value in all you do. This is an ideal role for someone who delights in organization, enjoys maintaining optimal office environments, and has a genuine passion for making people's work lives better.

Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen & Office Management: Lead daily kitchen maintenance, inventory management, ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, greeting visitors, and managing lunch orders. Proactively keep our office clean, organized, and free of clutter, and look for areas of improvement.
  • Facility Maintenance: Serve as the point person for facility issues including maintenance requests, equipment troubleshooting, and building management coordination.
  • Administrative Support: Manage mail, packages, document processing, and provide executive support for Arlington-based leadership.
  • Workplace Environment: Create a welcoming atmosphere through general office upkeep, seasonal decorations, and occasional event coordination.

You have:

  • 1+ year of previous experience in office management, administrative support, or facilities management
  • A tenacious, driven attitude - you don't stop following up until a task is complete!
  • Exceptional organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • An inclination to optimize and maintain systems and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical fluency with basic office equipment and software; comfort with troubleshooting equipment challenges
  • A strong desire to make work a wonderful environment for collaboration and camaraderie: you derive joy from bringing people together, and you take pride in helping people do their best work
  • A relentlessly positive attitude and a love of connecting with your colleagues
  • 18 hours per week (with potential flexibility to 24 hours)
  • Located in Arlington, VA (Rosslyn area)
  • This position will be hired as a 1099 contractor
  • Hourly rate: $30/hour
