Havertys in McKinney, Texas is seeking a part-time Office Assistant to join the Havertys Team. You will process customer sales, handle payments, answer phones, and schedule deliveries as part of a customer-focused team. This role supports our new showroom expansion and delivers the exceptional service Havertys is known for.

Starting pay is $15 per hour, with higher pay possible based on experience. Schedule is Mon–Fri with occasional weekends; stores open 10am–7pm Mon–Sat and 12pm–6pm Sun.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• 1-3 years of cash handling experience.
• Strong math, communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organized with multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Balance the cash fund every morning and evening.
• Complete daily opening and closing procedure checklists.
• Prepare and reconcile bank deposits.
• Accurately process customer sales and payments.
• Maintain an organized and secure office environment.
• Answer incoming calls, distribute messages, and manage store voicemail.
• Handle customer complaints and follow up on service tickets.
• Review outstanding customer transactions.
• Verify and schedule deliveries to ensure they are ready to be routed.
• Ensure purchase orders are present for out-of-stock products.
• Contact customers when products are available for pickup.
• File and prepare daily paperwork.
