Part-Time Office Assistant

Location: New York, NY

Job type: Part-Time Contract - Long Term

This position is a part-time position, 4 hours a day. Pay Rate: $20-$27/hr

Our client, a global EPC Firm, is hiring a Part-Time Office Assistant for a contract opportunity in New York, NY.

The Office Assistant supports office operations as directed by the Office Manager, including:

  1. Supporting the Office Manager with administrative and operational tasks.
  2. Coordinating with building management for maintenance activities.
  3. Maintaining filing, inventory, and mailing systems.
  4. Managing the reception area, including answering phones and greeting guests.
  5. Providing clerical support and assisting with project deadlines.
  6. Scanning, copying, and binding reports and specifications.
  7. Preparing PowerPoint presentations and reports.
  8. Planning meetings and preparing conference rooms.
  9. Tracking trip tickets for fleet and rental vehicles.
  10. Handling purchase order requests.
  11. Managing projects in Document Locator.
  12. Setting up audio/video conferencing.
  13. Updating data within tables.
  14. Maintaining office supplies and paper stock.
  15. Creating and maintaining project files.
  16. Assisting with project setups and archiving.
  17. Distributing mail and coordinating office events.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field, or 5 years of related experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
