Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Wisconsin licensure or eligibility as a Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Eligible for Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Occupational Therapist License
• Eligible for NBCOT Certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
• Experience with students in special education, including autism and development disabilities preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP development, documentation systems, and progress monitoring tools.
• Experience addressing oral motor and feeding challenges in children.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educational staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services aligned with students’ IEPs to develop self-care, academics, leisure, and play.
• Collaborate with educational teams to plan and conduct therapeutic activities and interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations as part of re-evaluation and service determination.
• Promote motor planning, sensory regulation, fine motor skills, and adaptive functioning for classroom participation.
• Attend and contribute to IEP team meetings; provide data and support goal development.
• Document services and student progress promptly (notes and reports).
• Deliver services in-person via direct, push-in and consult models.
• Track treatment minutes and submit monthly billing reports.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and school policies and procedures.
