Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist for outpatient rehabilitation on a part-time basis. You will evaluate patients, interpret physician referrals, establish a plan of care, and administer therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills and function.

The role involves fabricating assistive devices, documenting progress, coordinating with physicians and the care team, completing billing and compliance tasks, and supporting discharge planning with home programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Licensed OT in the state; BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets physician referrals and plans care based on evaluation results.
• Fabricates assistive devices and splints to improve independence.
• Monitors outcomes and adjusts treatment plan as needed.
• Documents patient care and billing per department policies and accreditation standards.
• Coordinates discharge planning and home programs with patient/family education.
