Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is seeking an OB Surgical Technician to join the surgical team in the Quad Cities region. The technician will scrub in for intraoperative patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, providing consistent support to the operating room team.

Schedule: Part-time, .6 FTE (24 hours per week); 12-hour shifts with rotating hours and every 3rd weekend. CST preferred but not required in Iowa; certification required within 18 months when working in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• CST certification preferred but not required in Iowa; required within 18 months if in Illinois.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Function in the scrub role during intraoperative patient care under RN supervision.
• Support standards and Genesis Medical Center philosophies throughout the procedure.
