Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is hiring a Surgical Technician to scrub during intraoperative patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The role supports patient safety and adheres to our mission and standards.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited surgical technology program, CST certification preferred (Illinois) or CST within 18 months if Iowa; LPN option also considered; 2+ years of experience and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology; completion of surgical tech apprenticeship or military program.
• LPN license if you are a graduate of an LPN program or CST certification as applicable.
• BLS certification required; CST preferred but not required in Iowa; CST required within 18 months if working in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Scrub role during intraoperative patient care under direct supervision of RN.
• Support standards and Genesis Medical Center philosophies in the provision of care.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safety, efficiency and accountability during procedures.
