Job summary

Central Oregon Community College in Bend, OR is seeking part-time Nursing Faculty to deliver instruction in our Nursing Program. The role focuses on skills instruction and clinical instruction in a learning resource center, with capstone activities at regional sites including St.

Charles Medical Center in Bend and Redmond. Faculty participate in shared governance, provide student mentoring, and may travel to Redmond, Madras, Prineville, Lapine.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license in Oregon.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• Evidence of expertise in clinical nursing practice.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching or promise thereof.
• Willingness to travel and teach at various hours and locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing instruction using a collaborative teaching model, including skills and clinical instruction.
• Supervise practicum groups and capstone clinical assessments across multiple sites.
• Maintain office hours and contact with students, typically ~1 hour per week per section.
• Participate in shared governance and program development activities.
• Support accreditation activities and program/course development with stipends for meeting attendance.
• Meet general college requirements and stay current with nursing education standards.
