Job summary

Portland Community College is seeking in-person part-time instructors for the Medical Professions program to support a diverse body of students. Courses are offered at Cascade, Sylvania, Willow Creek, Hillsboro Center, and Southeast Campuses with possible travel between sites.

Qualified candidates hold relevant degrees in medical or allied health fields, and may include EMT/Paramedic/Nursing credentials; AHA BLS Instructor certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a medical or allied health field or related area.
• Three (3) years experience in a healthcare facility or organization.
• Degree or certificate from a nationally accredited program in health sciences.

Responsibilities

• Teach MP courses (MP 108/111/113/135/140) at PCC campuses.
• Support a diverse body of students in a clinical/academic setting.
• Travel between Cascade, Sylvania, Willow Creek, Hillsboro Center and Southeast Campuses as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a medical, allied health, or applied behavioral science

Bachelor’s degree in a medical or allied health discipline

Degree or certificate from a nationally accredited or state-approved program in EMT, Paramedic, Nursing, or other healthcare discipline

Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmacology, or other healthcare discipline

Bachelor’s Degree in a medical or allied health field or a law degree (Juris Doctor)
