Job summary

Columbia State Community College in Tennessee is seeking Part-Time Nursing Faculty to teach across its five campuses and clinical sites. Instructors are hired semester by semester and may teach up to nine credit hours per term, with workload adjustments based on contact hours.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's preferred), be licensed as a Tennessee RN (or eligible), and hold current CPR.

Qualifications

Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
Licensed in Tennessee as a Registered Nurse (or eligible).
Current CPR (BLS/AED).

Responsibilities

Preparing for courses as assigned and adhering to departmental course syllabi and course minimum student learning outcomes.
Beginning and ending all classes as schedules.
Organizing, assigning, and supervising learning activities of students in his/her classes.
Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure an environment conducive to learning. Evaluating students using a variety of methods and for informing each student of scores received on each assessment in a timely manner.
Maintaining accurate records of student attendance/participation and grades.
Reading Columbia State email and responding to student questions via email in a timely manner.Meeting deadlines for all administrative requests such as submitting personnel paperwork, student enrollment
