Job summary

Columbia State Community College is seeking part-time faculty to teach Emergency Medical Services on a semester-by-semester basis. Instructors may teach up to nine credit hours per semester across multiple campuses including Columbia, Williamson, Lawrenceburg, Lewisburg, Clifton, and various off-campus locations.

Minimum qualifications include Tennessee EMT-Basic licensure or higher with no revocation historical, at least 1 year pre-hospital EMS teaching experience, and current BLS Instructor

Qualifications

  • Licensed EMT-B or higher with no licensure revocation
  • Minimum 1 year pre-hospital EMS teaching experience
  • Current BLS Instructor Certification

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for courses and adhere to course syllabi and learning outcomes
  • Begin and end classes as scheduled
  • Organize and supervise learning activities for students
  • Maintain academic standards and classroom behavior
  • Evaluate students and inform them of scores promptly
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and grades
  • Monitor Columbia State email and respond to student questions
  • Meet deadlines for administrative tasks such as personnel paperwork and enrollment
