Columbia State Community College in Tennessee is seeking Part-Time Nursing Faculty to teach across its five campuses and clinical sites. Instructors are hired semester by semester and may teach up to nine credit hours per term, with workload adjustments based on contact hours.

Part time faculty are hired as needed on a semester-to-semester basis and typically teach up to nine credit hours during the semester. Columbia State offers classes at five campuses: Columbia Campus, Williamson Campus, Lawrenceburg Campus, Lewisburg Campus, and Clifton Campus. Columbia State also offers classes at several off-campus locations and clinical sites.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. Experientially qualified in Foundations, Medical/Surgical, Pediatrics, Mental Health, or Women’s Health. Licensed in Tennessee as a Registered Nurse (or immediately eligible). Current CPR (BLS/AED).
Salary is $560 per credit hour. Workload adjustments will be made for faculty teaching classes where the number of contact hours exceeds the number of credit hours. Additionally, a travel stipend may be negotiated at time of hire for faculty traveling more than 80 miles each week to teach their classes. For part-time faculty who continue to work at Columbia State, salary is based on collegiate level teaching experience documented during the first semester of teaching.
