Job summary

Middlesex Community College in Lowell, MA seeks an Assistant Professor of Nursing for the Part-Time Nursing Program. You will teach in classroom, simulation lab, and clinical settings, with responsibilities across planning, evaluation, and student advisement.

The role emphasizes inclusive excellence, professional development, and collaboration with adjunct faculty to support the nursing program. Start date January 2027; location Lowell with Bedford travel.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Massachusetts RN license in good standing is required.
• Minimum of two years full-time nursing experience in the last five years.
• Competence in teaching, orientation, and professional development in nursing education.
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing care and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach evenings and weekends; participate in department, college service, and meetings.
• Collaborate with Part-Time coordinator and leadership team for the nursing option.
• Provide classroom instruction for sessions up to three hours with up to 32 students.
• Provide lab instruction with demonstrations, simulations, and skill evaluation.
• Supervise and instruct up to 8 students during six- or twelve-hour clinical days.
