Job summary

Northern Essex Community College in Lawrence, MA is seeking Part-Time Nursing Clinical Instructors to supervise clinical experiences for nursing students up to 16 hours per week on an as-needed basis for Fall 2026 and beyond.

Responsibilities include preparing clinical assignments, instructing and supervising students in clinical settings and via virtual simulation, evaluating learner performance, and providing feedback.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required for nursing instruction at ADN level.
• MA Registered Nurse license in good standing is required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required for practical nursing instruction level.
• Minimum of two years full-time nursing experience in the last five years.
• Evidence of competence in Maternal-child, Medical Surgical, or Psychiatric Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Provider certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clinical assignments prior to clinical learning experience.
• Instruct and supervise nursing students in the clinical setting.
• Instruct and supervise nursing students with virtual clinical simulation when clinical agency is unavailable.
• Evaluate student learning assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Complete formative and summative student evaluations.
• Communicate with Course Team Leader weekly regarding student issues.
• Perform other duties associated with the position.
