Job summary

York County Community College (YCCC) invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty Instructor in the Nursing Clinicals program. The instructor will teach in Labor and Delivery, Long-term Care, and MedSurg, delivering hands-on clinical instruction on-site at Wells Campus and clinical settings.

The successful candidate will create an inclusive learning environment, promote critical thinking, and ensure nursing curricula stay current with healthcare practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and at least two years of nursing practice.
• Current unencumbered RN license to practice in Maine (or applicable state).
• Preferred: teaching experience in a higher education setting.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in nursing clinicals to students in-person.
• Prepare and update syllabi, assignments, and assessments to align with standards.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to students on progress and challenges.
• Maintain regular office hours for student consultations and support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment and program goals.
