Job summary

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor to support the Associate Degree Nursing program. The role involves clinical prep on Wednesdays and clinical instruction on Thursdays and Fridays, with evenings possible based on scheduling and needs.

The successful candidate will hold a BSN, have current acute care experience, two years of full-time RN experience, and an NC RN license. A Nursing Education Certification is required within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current acute care experience.
• 2 years of full-time experience as a registered nurse.
• Non-restrictive RN license in NC.
• Must complete Nursing Education Certification in accordance with the NC Board of Nursing Faculty Standards within 3 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and deliver course content to meet course objectives and student learning outcomes.
• Actively engage students and provide prompt, respectful feedback.
• Communicate and follow course syllabus per directions and guidance.
• Collaborate with College support services to address students' academic needs.
• Utilize College technology for instruction and administrative tasks (LMS, email, calendars, document management, SIS, portals).
• Meet deadlines and maintain accurate class and employee records.
• Ensure laboratories have required supplies and equipment in safe order when applicable.
• Foster a positive, student-centered environment among students, faculty and staff.
