Job summary

Central Oregon Community College invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor in Nursing. The instructor will deliver medical-surgical content, maternity, pediatrics, and mental health nursing, and pharmacology, emphasizing theoretical frameworks and psychomotor skill development.

The role includes clinical instruction at COCC-affiliated sites, participation in Shared Governance, and about one hour of student contact per week per section.

Qualifications

• RN license in Oregon or eligible to practice in Oregon.
• Minimum two years of registered nursing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and engage adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for the Nursing Program, focusing on medical-surgical content and pharmacology.
• Teach in Learning Resource Center with scenario-based skills, simulation, and clinical instruction at partner sites.
• Maintain office hours and student contact outside of class; participate in shared governance and program development.
