Job summary

The instructor will supervise clinical experiences, evaluate student performance, and contribute to program development while maintaining current policies and procedures. A master's or doctoral degree in nursing and Alaska RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered RN license in Alaska.
• Illinois RN License required to teach all courses (prioritized for Illinois-licensed professors).
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
• At least two years of professional instructional experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system and profession.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Evaluates and provides feedback to students on performance based on course objectives.
• Remediates students as required or needed and orients to agency policies.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with student knowledge and learning needs.
• Contributes to program development and may teach didactic content under supervision.
