Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing Required
• 2+ years nursing practice as a registered nurse in the last five years
• Excellent communication skills with initiative and prudent judgment
• Professional Nurse licensure in IL required

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, outcomes and course objectives through clinical teaching
• Plans clinical experiences and provides supervision and evaluation of nursing students
• Provides timely feedback on performance based on course objectives
• Maintains knowledge of agency policies and clinical expectations
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with learning needs
• May teach didactic content under supervision
• Keeps course coordinator informed of student and agency issues
• Works with staff and faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction
• Participates in College Assessment Program and campus policies
• Models professional behavior in service, collaboration and communication
