Qualifications

• Possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a Long Term Care Facility.
• Current Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver license and insurable on Midland College's policy.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and nursing care equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of LTCF regulations and effective written and oral communication.
• Interest in working in a college setting and collaborating with instructional teams.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Nurse Aide and health science students in theory and skill.
• Utilize teaching techniques to meet course objectives.
• Fulfill course curriculum and learning objectives.
• Assist in maintaining accreditation from DADS and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee clinical experiences and simulation lab inventory.
• Prepare reports of student success per Midland College guidelines.
• Maintain budgetary compliance and attend required meetings.
• Observe administrative policies and Midland College mission.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
