Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Nonprofit experience and grant accounting familiarity a plus.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting a plus.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently in a part-time role and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Review general ledger accounts for variances and adjustments.
• Support budget-to-actual analysis and department coding corrections.
• Assist with fixed asset management, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Support grant accounting and related financial reporting.
• Aid in audit preparation with schedules and analyses.
• Maintain complete, accurate financial records in line with non-profit GAAP.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Provide timely financial information to leadership.
