Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Nashua is seeking a part-time Payroll Administrator to join our Nashua, NH corporate office. You will oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, ensure compliance with federal, state and local reporting, and administer the retirement plan.

The role reports to the CFO and offers potential transition to full-time with growth opportunities. Candidates should have 3-5 years of payroll experience, be proficient with UKG/Kronos, and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Independently execute bi-weekly payroll for the organization using the Kronos system.
• Review timecards for supervisor approval.
• Calculate and submit pay adjustments as needed.
• Maintain confidential payroll records.
• Generate payroll reports and post entries to accounting system.
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Provide payroll support to employees.
• Administer the YMCA Retirement Plan including remittance of monthly funding.
• Manage 403B accounts and loans.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting (W-2, ACA).

Part-Time (Potential Full-Time), Hourly Position; YMCA of Greater Nashua

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking to hire a part-time Payroll Administrator located in our Nashua, NH Corporate Office. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the bi-weekly payroll reporting and all associated federal, state and local reporting, administering the retirement plan. The Payroll Administrator will report to the CFO of the YMCA of Greater Nashua. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA. If the candidate has staff accounting experience, a full-time role is possible.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Payroll & Retirement Plan Duties:

• Independently execute the bi-weekly payroll functions in compliance with external regulations and internal policies for the entire organization utilizing the Kronos System
• Reviews timecards to ensure proper supervisor approval is received
• Calculate and submit pay adjustments, when necessary
• Organize, prepare and maintain confidential payroll record information
• Generate payroll reports and post entries to accounting system
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Provide payroll support to employees
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
• Administer the YMCA Retirement Program including remittance of monthly funding
• Manage employees’ 403B accounts and loans
• Adhere to all reporting requirements, including state and federal regulations (W-2 and ACA filings)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years of experience in payroll administration
• Proficiency with UKG (or similar systems and providers) preferred
• Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management and all levels of staff.
• Ability to sit and use computer for long periods of time.
• Flexibility and Adaptability to changed situations are essential in this position.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

We provide our part-time staff with free YMCA membership. The hourly range is $30–$33 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Candidates who possess broader accounting experience may be considered for an expanded full-time Payroll and Accounting position. Full-time employees are eligible for the YMCA of Greater Nashua’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, retirement benefits, paid time off, and complimentary family YMCA membership.
