Job summary

Diocese of Allentown is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) for Holy Family Villa in Bethlehem. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring safety and compliance with Church guidelines.

The position is part-time night shift (11 PM – 7 AM), 16 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Valid CPR/First Aid and PA Nurse Aide Registry status are required, with training provided for additional certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and read, write and speak English.
• CPR and First Aid certification must be maintained.
• Diabetes Education/Insulin Injection and Medication Administration Certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Follow federal, state and local regulations and requirements.
• Ensure residents and visitors follow policies and safety rules.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and protect resident rights.
• Attend mandatory in-service programs and perform daily charting.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and monitor intake and meals.
