Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Flower Hospital Laboratory, part-time nights. You will collect specimens, perform testing, and manage pre-analytic tasks while ensuring patient care before, during, and after collection.

You will use QA data to improve services and may train new associates. Prior phlebotomy experience or a phlebotomy program diploma is required, with ASCP registration preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR 1 year phlebotomy experience.
• Successful completion of an academic program with practicum in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for procedures and perform testing.
• Handle pre-analytic tasks: centrifugation, decanting, distribution and packaging.
• Adhere to asepsis/antisepsis principles and support training of new staff.
