UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh is hiring a Part-Time Patient Care Technician to support the Night Program on 6 South Surgical Oncology. This role offers 24 hours per week with straight nights and a starting pay ladder based on experience, from $18.19 to $19.19 per hour.

As a PCT you will provide direct patient care under RN direction, monitor vitals, perform basic procedures, assist with ADLs, document care, and help keep the unit safe and organized.

Qualificações

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of patient care experience or enrollment in a health program with a clinical rotation.
• Completion of UPMC Patient Care Technician training and basic information systems training.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care under RN direction, including assistance with ADLs and therapies.
• Perform core PCT responsibilities: vital signs, telemetry, specimen collection, EKGs and basic dressings.
• Assist with unit needs: call lights, meals, transport and patient monitoring.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Document care accurately and complete clerical tasks as needed.
• Support unit operations by stocking supplies and assisting with department activities.

Formação académica

One year of patient care experience

Enrollment in PT/OT/PA program with clinical rotation

Bachelor’s degree in health sciences
