Job summary

UPMC West Shore is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Surg/Ortho Unit. This part-time role (24 hours/week) features evening/night rotating shifts with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

The PCT assists with ADLs, patient procedures, and documentation, while collaborating with RNs to ensure safety and quality care. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and either 1 year of general healthcare experience or enrollment in a related program, or a health

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment in related healthcare program or health training preferred.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient procedures and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Document in medical records and report changes to RN.
• Provide safe, compassionate care and support to patients and families.
