Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Extracts information from medical records for legal, health care, and other agencies.
• Reviews and ensures completeness and accuracy of patients' medical charts.
• Transcribes doctors’ orders, case histories, and notes with medical terminology.
• Acts as reception in clinical setting; handles calls, screens referrals, and schedules appointments.
• Uses computer systems to request lab work, x-rays, medications, and billing information; inputs data for billing and case management.
• Orders and restocks hospital supplies for wards or departments.
• Prepares admissions, discharges, and transfers paperwork; files charts and medical documents.
• Delivers specimens to laboratory following procedures to ensure proper identification and test requests.
