Job summary

Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the ICU on night shifts (7p-7a). You will deliver comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity setting, collaborating with an experienced team to ensure optimal outcomes for critically ill patients.

This role offers flexible scheduling and competitive compensation. Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with an Illinois RN license, BLS, and CPI willingness within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross); ACLS preferred.
• Willingness to complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training within 1 month of hire.
• Previous experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate nursing care in line with established clinical best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
• Apply critical care skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
