Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Unit Coordinator for the ED Main Campus in Columbus, OH. The position is nights, part-time (16-24 hours per week) from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every third weekend and holiday rotations.

The role involves greeting and registering critical patients, managing calls, scheduling, and coordinating admissions and on-call communications. Education requires a high school diploma with an Associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Associates degree preferred.
• One year of previous health care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated computer skills required with the ability to navigate current technology systems.
• Strong administrative skills required.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers critical and trauma patients.
• Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, and facilitates unit communication.
• Coordinates admissions paperwork and communications, contacts on-call providers, and pulls and files medical charts when indicated.
